Last night, TV icon Emma Willis wowed onlookers as she graced the red carpet in her first public appearance since heart surgery, looking nothing short of spectacular. The presenter and face of Love Is Blind UK, 49, turned heads at a posh bash in London, stepping out with husband Matt Willis by her side, clad in an eye-catching red jumpsuit paired with chic leopard print stilettos.

Beaming alongside Matt, former frontman of pop band Busted, 42, the couple were spotted hand in hand at the ritzy British Vogue and Netflix BAFTA TV soirée in the capital, radiating happiness.

Emma, mum to three kids, earlier toasted to her other half’s birthday with an affectionate black-and-white Instagram snap en route to the party, captioning the heartfelt moment: “Happy birthday to my beauty. I bagged a good 'un."

During the day, adding to the joyful celebrations, the star shared another photo showing her planting a gentle kiss on Matt, accompanying it with touching words: "Happy day of your birth babe... in this life time, and every other, I would/will find you... @mattjwillis”, reports The Mirror.

Their glamorous evening also spotlighted Emma’s notable return to the limelight after her health scare, where she had a congenital heart defect, unnoticed for nearly half a century, mended through surgery.

Back in April, Emma got candid about her condition, revealing the necessity of an operation due to a heart “hole” that was detected. The esteemed Big Brother ex-host underwent treatment at the prestigious Royal Brompton Hospital in London and gratefully noted her doting hubby “never left my side”.

Taking to Instagram, the TV star expressed her profound gratitude with heartfelt words and a series of photos, including one from the hospital bed: “A big humongous THANK YOU to the team at the Royal Brompton Hospital for their care and support."

She recounted her health journey with surprise, stating: "A few weeks ago, I had keyhole heart surgery, which feels very strange to write, and even stranger when I say it out loud. From investigations last year to diagnosis and then surgery, they were absolutely incredible. As was @mattjwillis, who never left my side."

Reflecting on the unknowns of our own bodies, she mused, "Turns out, I've been pottering around for 48 years blissfully unaware I had a hole in my heart. Isn’t it bonkers what's happening in our bodies that we have no idea about?"

In awe of medical advancements, she added: "What blows my mind even more is the wonders of modern medicine, and the spectacular people that save, fix and help us every single day.”

She gave special thanks to her surgeon, recognised as ’a spectacular pair of hands.'

In the light of medical innovation, keyhole heart surgery is a critical technique practised at Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, pioneering smaller incisions for patient recovery.

Emma, alongside her husband, hosted “Swiped: The School That Banned Smartphones” in 2024, challenging themselves and school pupils in Essex to give up smartphones for 21 days. Her prominence in television also includes hosting The Voice UK, The Circle, and Love Is Blind: UK.
