Brooklyn Beckham's ex-girlfriend has heaped praise on mum and dad David and Victoria as their eldest son's tensions with his family continue. Reality star Lexi Wood was linked to Brooklyn back in 2018 when she was just 20 and he was 19. The Summer House star reflected on her relationship with his family on the The Viall Files podcast on Wednesday, May 7.
"When Brooklyn and I were [together], we were... I think I was 20, so it was a little more like, we were hanging out together, so we didn't really spend too much time with the whole family unit," she said. Despite this she described them as a "beautiful family" and said they are the "nicest" as she praised both David, 50, and Victoria, 51, who she called a "style icon." She added: "They’re the coolest family." Lexi met Brooklyn through mutual friends and despite their short lived romance she alluded to the fact they are still friends and voiced her support for his marriage to Nicola Peltz, 30.
"I'm the type of ex where I'm actually friends with a lot of my exes and I actually want them to move on. I'm like, 'Go! Good for you!'
"Especially with Brooklyn, he's in a great relationship and I'm so happy for him, I really respect where they're at right now in their lives. I always want to move respectfully for everyone that I've dated," she said.
Her remarks came as it was reported Nicola is sick of David and Victoria Beckham being "toxic" towards her husband.
The billionaire heiress, who tied the knot with the Brooklyn in 2022, is rumoured to be "fed up" with his parents and the way he's been treated.
According to TMZ Brooklyn is in an ongoing feud with his brother, Romeo. The siblings had allegedly fallen out over Brooklyn's suspicions surrounding Romeo's current girlfriend, Kim Turnbull.
David recently celebrated his 50th birthday with a number of lavish events, but Brooklyn and Nicola were absent.
The publication reported Nicola doesn't like the way "narcissistic" David and Victoria treat her husband, and that the young couple have tried to patch up their relationship several times, but with no success.
TMZ reported: "Nicola and Brooklyn are 'devastated' by 'performative' David and Victoria's behavior and feel they are choosing to scapegoat Nicola rather than sit down and talk through their issues."
