David and Victoria Beckham can finally breathe a sigh of relief as one of their disputes has reportedly come to an end. The celebrity duo have been shaken by a reported family feud that reached its peak over the weekend, with their eldest son Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 29.

They made a sudden change of plans, opting out of all the festivities for David's 50th birthday. Reports suggest the football legend was left "devastated," with Brooklyn feeling aggrieved that his family "picked brother Romeo" over him. The root of the tension is believed to be Romeo's new girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, whom Brooklyn and Nicola suspect of having dubious motives. Meanwhile, other sources claim the Beckhams are "done" with Nicola, accusing her of "starting drama".

Despite the familial turmoil, there's a silver lining for David and Victoria. They've successfully resolved a dispute with their neighbours. The couple has received the green light to construct a barn on their lavish Cotswolds property, which had initially sparked irritation among some locals.

David, who has taken up gardening, had proposed an "agricultural storage barn for hay/straw and agricultural equipment", reports the Mirror. Yet, the project faced opposition from neighbours, with some even dismissing it as "silly".

One particularly irate local commented: "This is just the latest in a long line of applications to build new structures on this land, plus a giant lake. Why do famous people move out to the country and then clutter up their land with endless buildings and make silly alterations? It makes no sense."

Despite local grievances, West Oxfordshire District Council has officially nodded through the plans for a new barn, as reported by The Sun. Touting regulatory compliance, the council remarked that the "proposed development will not require approval" and green-lit construction according to the submitted designs.

In the past week, David Beckham lavished his family with an intimate dinner at their plush Cotswolds home, whisked them off to France, and followed up with a spirited party in the capital. Brooklyn Beckham made headlines by jetting into London from LA before causing a stir with a sudden about-face that sent ripples through the family dynamic.

The aspiring chef is rumoured to have issued an ultimatum to his parents, yearning for a discrete tête-à-tête during the celebratory period. Reports suggest he sought to dodge the presence of Romeo's new love interest, Kim Turnbull, but his celebrity parents allegedly snubbed the private meet.

Kim's history intertwines with Brooklyn's circle; she previously romanced Rocco Ritchie, son of pop queen Madonna, back in 2016. An insider disclosed to The Mirror: "Nicola encourages Brooklyn to see his family and is usually the reason Brooklyn does see his family. They are both distraught.

"They cannot fathom why Victoria and David would decline a private audience after making the transatlantic trip explicitly to mend fences."

They remarked: "As parents, it's shocking that Victoria and David are behaving this way... instead of privately discussing the issue. Victoria and David (appear to) have no interest in finding a solution that works for everyone."

Allegedly, Brooklyn made the trip to London with the express purpose of participating in the festivities. A source disclosed to the press: "He suggested going for breakfast or a coffee but was told the only chance to see the family would be at one of their lavish parties which Kim would likely be at, so he refused."
