Keesler Air Force base is on lockdown following reports of an active shooter, with an investigation ongoing.
The Biloxi Police Department said there have been reports of an active shooter, but this has not been confirmed.
This morning, Keesler AFB posted about the lockdown on Facebook.
The post said: "LOCKDOWN For Keesler AFB LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN Keesler AFB is in lockdown mode. Please remain in lockdown mode. LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN"
No other details on the situation were provided.
Keesler Air Force was reportedly due to carry out a readiness exercise today, but officials have confirmed this incident is not connected to the drill.
