Prince Archie's birthday snap, shared by mum Meghan Markle on her Instagram account last night, was taken at an exclusive Mexico resort, it has been revealed. The sweet picture, which shows the six-year-old with his back to the camera looking out to sea, was shared by the Duchess of Sussex to mark his birthday yesterday.
It was initially thought to have been taken near Harry and Meghan's Montecito home, but the Mail have revealed that the image was actually taken from the Cuixmala estate in Jalisco. The family of four are understood to have stayed at the £5,000-a-night Casa La Playa villa - where Harry's late mother Princess Diana had links to.
There is currently no indication the Sussexes were in Mexico to visit Meghan's estranged father, Thomas Markle, 80, whose home is just 2,000 miles away in Rosarito.
The stunning Cuixmala estate was built by French-British billionaire financier and politician Sir James Goldsmith in 1989 as a private retreat for him and his family.
One of Sir James's children is financier Ben Goldsmith, who commented on social media after Harry's bombshell BBC interview last Friday: "Tragic but true – Prince Harry's behaviour is unforgivable."
Ben's sister Jemima Goldsmith was a close friend to Harry's mother Princess Diana and visited her twice in Pakistan while she was married to former cricket legend Imran Khan.
