The Royal Family sent a stern message to Prince Harry after they displayed a united front today during the VE Day commemorations in London, a body language expert has claimed. King Charles and Queen Camilla led senior members of the Firm and the nation today during the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe.

Today's events included a military procession, a flypast and a tea party at Buckingham Palace. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis made a rare public appearance with their parents William and Kate, while the Princess Anne and her husband, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were also present as was the Duke of Kent.

The royal appearance came just days after Prince Harry's bombshell BBC interview after he lost his appeal against a High Court ruling regarding his downgraded security in the UK, with a body language expert saying the royals' stance appeared to send a message.

Body language Judi James told the Express how the royals appeared to be more united than usual today.

She explained: "Having been used as something of a coconut shy by Harry as he pelted them with even more stinging criticism, the royals appeared today looking like an even more closely-synchronized unit than usual to suggest a solid wall of stoicism as they just got on with the job, showing where and how their attention is directed, i.e. to the veterans of the wars, who they met using smiles of genuine delight, kindness and interest."

Ms James added that the royals appeared to "ignore" Prince Harry's "dark references" and "hints of conspiracies" as they got on with their duties.

She said: "This was a strong setting for the royals doing what they do best, and they appeared to ignore any 'dark' references and hints of conspiracies that had been tossed at them one day before."

In his interview, Harry told the BBC that the King will not speak to him and he does not know "how much longer my father has" left.

He said: "And I said, life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has, he, he won't speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile."

The duke added: "This, at the heart of it, is a family dispute."

When asked if Charles had been approached to use his influence in Harry's legal problems, the duke appeared to imply the King was a hindrance, a comment likely to deepen the rift with his father and his brother, the Prince of Wales.

He said: "I've never asked him to intervene, I've asked him to step out of the way and let the experts do their job."

Following Harry's interview, Buckingham Palace in a blunt statement: "All these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion on each occasion."
