Nicola Peltz's relationship with the Beckham family is reportedly "beyond repair". The actress and her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, were noticeably absent from David Beckham's star-studded 50th birthday bash this weekend. Brooklyn, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, was also missing from all the pre-party celebrations leading up to the main event on Sunday. His absence was a "real blow" to the former Manchester United star.
On Saturday, the Beckhams and their celebrity friends gathered at the upscale Core restaurant in Notting Hill, London. Romeo, the second eldest son, delivered a speech in honour of his father. However, the ongoing family feud between the Peltz-Beckhams and the Beckhams has reportedly "escalated" in recent months. Insiders now suggest that the rift is "beyond repair". While David and Victoria knew that Brooklyn and Nicola were planning to attend the Met Gala in New York, they were "hurt" by his failure to show up at family events, despite being in London, reports the Mirror.
"They failed to turn up at any family events and yet they will go to a place where they will barely know anyone," an insider told the Daily Mail. The source added: "Victoria and David would do anything to get their son back, but they are done with Nicola now."
Insiders have suggested that Nicola is the catalyst for the ongoing feud, alleging she "finds a way to start an argument" between Brooklyn and his famous family. They further claimed that while Brooklyn had intended to join the birthday festivities, his wife would invariably "kick something off", making it "impossible" for him to participate.
"Brooklyn doesn't feel he can turn up to see his family – but it happened three times in a week," they disclosed. Meanwhile, sources allege that Brooklyn has ceased communication with his "family, or old friends," drawing parallels to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's strained relationships back in the UK.
Over the weekend, Brooklyn and Nicola posted pictures of themselves enjoying their luxurious London hotel and even dining out with a friend. A source close to the family told the Mirror: "Brooklyn not turning up was a real blow to David.
"Brooklyn was close with his dad growing up, but he is married now. His wife Nicola is older and confident in her own right, and so there is distance between Brooklyn and his parents.
"It has become a problem and not something they can keep private because of the way the family uses social media. Things have escalated in recent months, and there is a very obvious rift that David and Victoria would love to heal.
This weekend, Victoria took to social media to praise her children who attended the glitzy event."
Victoria Beckham shared a warm sentiment tagging children Romeo, Cruz, and Harper in an emotional statement: "Creating special memories with family and friends. We love you all."
However, Brooklyn's name was noticeably absent. Speculation mounts as not only did Brooklyn and his wife Nicola fail to publicly recognise David's 50th, they were also missing from Victoria’s April birthday festivities and omitted any Mother's Day greetings in March.
