Gorka Marquez has announced a new family member on Instagram. The Spanish professional dancer, who is currently in a long-term relationship with Gemma Atkinson, is already the proud father of two children. Posting a sweet picture to his followers, the dancer revealed that he has welcomed another dog into their family. Gemma and Gorka originally met on the 2017 series of Strictly Come Dancing, although they were not initially paired together. Romance later blossomed during the live tour the following year, and they now share two children: Mia and Thiago.

Taking to social media, Gorka penned, "Another set of paws. New memories to make. So far, today has been the best day of 2025…Welcome to the family Benji Marquez."

Gorka also uploaded a series of adorable snaps of the baby cockerpoo, with Mia and Gemma both laughing as they roll around in the grass with their new puppy.

One fan commented, "He doesn’t know it but Benji has just hit the jackpot finding your family. happy memory making to you all…dogs are just THE best thing ever sent to us."

A second person also chimed in, "Love it …bring the joy back to your home after loosing your beautiful boys xx lucky Benji x."

The delightful news comes after Gemma and Gorka sadly lost both of their dogs last year, just months apart. Gemma shared the heartbreaking news that her 14-year-old dog Ollie died in December 2024, following updates that his health was deteriorating.

In July 2024, Gemma was left heartbroken when her other dog, Norman, died aged 12. "My beautiful boy Norman has passed away. My heart is broken," she wrote in her caption.

"12 years ago, I made a promise to him that I would always take care of him and never allow him to be in pain or to suffer. Had I put off making the hardest decision of my life any longer, I would have broken that promise."
