Lorraine Kelly, the unofficial "queen of daytime" has received a flood of support from her ITV colleagues following an Instagram update from her hospital bed. On Saturday, Lorraine took to social media, posting a video to keep her fans informed of her health situation.
Dressed in a hospital gown, the 65 year old addressed her audience with an update, saying: "Just wanted to let you know I'm having a wee procedure today. I've not been feeling all that well for a little while, so I had some scans and tests, and I have to have my ovaries and my tubes taken out."
She reassured fans, adding: "'It's purely preventative. It's going to be with keyhole surgery, which is incredible, I'm being very well looked after, and I'll obviously see you really soon, and I'm gonna be totally fine."
Her ITV colleagues have been quick to share their support in the comments section as Dr Amir Khan said: "Wishing you a speedy recovery - you are the best!" Good Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins added: "Sending love".
Weather expert Laura Tobin said: "Take care and wishing you a speedy recovery xx" while Julia Bradbury wrote: "Wishing you a speedy recovery Lorraine, and good luck with the post op rehab". Katie Piper from Loose Women said: "Hope you make a speedy recovery"
