Jason Orange may have stepped away from the spotlight more than a decade ago, but one of his family members recently made headlines through his own career – and he looks just like the former Take That star. Some fans of the English pop group may not realise that Jason has a twin brother, Justin Orange. The pair were the second and third children of Tony and Jenny Orange, and grew up together in Manchester before Jason went on to become one of the UK's biggest pop stars.

While Jason shot to fame with Take That in the 90s, Justin largely stayed out of the public eye until 2023. Justin is the founder of the Altrincham-based investment firm CorpAcq. In August that year, his company agreed to a $1.6bn deal that saw it go public on the New York Stock Exchange.

The deal, which was backed by US corporate financier Michael Klein through his special-purpose acquisition company Churchill VII, marked one of the largest SPAC transactions in recent UK business history.

CorpAcq was founded in 2006, and owned a portfolio of 41 businesses in 2023, including household names like Cotton Traders and Aintree Plastics. Global giants Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Nova Capital were some of the company's investors when Justin sold it.

Justin stayed on to lead the company after the deal alongside CEO David Martin. In a statement to the public, he said: "Today is an exciting milestone in CorpAcq's history and validation of our team, our tremendous growth and our approach of partnering closely with and empowering portfolio companies to drive long-term performance. We are thrilled to partner with Churchill VII.

"With their team's deep M&A and capital markets expertise, track record of value-added investing in companies as well as an extensive relationship network, we are confident that Churchill VII is the right partner to propel CorpAcq's next phase of growth.

"As a public company, we believe CorpAcq will be better positioned to accelerate organic growth, expand our acquisition pipeline deeper in the UK and deliver compounding returns to shareholders, all while staying true to our ethos of fostering autonomy at our portfolio companies and investing over a long time horizon."

Although Justin has achieved professional success, it’s his striking resemblance to his famous brother that has fans doing a double take. A recent Reddit thread about the Orange twins saw one user exclaim, "I keep forgettin’ that Jason is a twin! Am I the only one?" Another observed, "I think Justin has softer features than Jason."

Though Jason has stayed out of the limelight since announcing his departure from Take That in 2014, his decision to step back from the band came as no surprise to those closest to him.

In the years since, Jason has reportedly enjoyed a quieter life away from the pressures of fame. In 2017, bandmate Gary Barlow confirmed the group had stopped trying to convince him to return, telling the Sun: "He wanted to go off, live his life, and good luck to him… He doesn’t want to do it any more, it’s that simple."
