Katie Price was hit with a fresh blow as her Easter pantomime was forced to slash ticket prices earlier this month. The former glamour model appeared on stage this week in her 'adult' Easter pantomime in Croydon's Fairfield Halls, where she played a fairy. Now the reality TV star is set to go on tour for the rest of the week, heading to Oldham and Rhyl over the weekend. But during its initial run at the start of April, the Croydon venue slashed ticket prices by 50% during her run in Pinnochio.
On April 14, there were several seats still available at The Elgiva Theatre in Buckinghamshire. Described as a "hilarious Easter panto with no strings attached", the seating charts on the ticket booking site showed that there were multiple tickets up for grabs. Panto followers would then get a second ticket at half price for every one bought.
It comes after Katie Price revealed that she "forgot her lines" during her Sleeping Beauty stint in a 2023 panto. She said, "I am broken, knackered. If I have to read another script line...
"My head is ready to explode. For the past six days, I've had to learn a full script, dance songs for panto that I don't know or I've never even heard of."
She continued, "The stress I've put on myself this week is ridiculous. I have ballsed my lines up and had to make some stuff up, so hopefully nobody noticed it."
In similar news, Katie landed herself in hot water after sharing claims about cannabidiol, otherwise known as CBD, and using it over medical treatment.
In an online video, the 46-year-old claimed CBD oil "shrunk" a little girl’s tumour and went on to promote the product owned by boxer Anthony Fowler as a treatment for "fibromyalgia, arthritis, anxiety/depression, any aches/pains or insomnia." Anthony and his wife Serena share a daughter named Roma, who reportedly suffered from the tumour.
This prompted uproar from fans who have labelled her claims "abhorrent." Cannabidiol oil, more commonly referred to as CBD, is derived from cannabis and is often used for relaxation and pain relief.
