TV naturalist Chris Packham reckons the environment will have its Me Too moment saying: "Enough is enough." The 63-year-old star admits growing up hearing about the Hollywood casting couch - where women were sexually exploited by film bosses like Harvey Weinstein - but that only decades later real change was able to happen.

The Me Too movement has exposed dozens of sexual predators and led to the jailing of Weinstein. Packham also cites Black Lives Matter as another tipping point for ethnic minorities and social injustice. He told Express Online: “I remember my parents telling me about the casting couch in Hollywood. Nothing happens for years and years and then something happens with Weinstein and the whole Me Too movement blows up and we see amazing positive change.

"Something that should have been happening for years has happened. Black Lives Matters. George Floyd happened and all of a sudden the whole world wakes up and sees this isn’t right. We need that for climate. I think it will happen. I’m absolutely convinced. Enough is enough.”

But Packham believes the ascent of President Donald Trump will make life difficult for climate protesters.

He said: "He says so many things that are absurd that can’t happen. We have to see what he is going to see that is actually going to happen.

"The environmental movement is very concerned about Trump. We have no doubt at all that he either is [a climate-denier] or is influenced by climate deniers.

"And they are a very powerful lobby. This could make our lives a lot more difficult."

But he added: "We are not in it because our jobs are easy. We are in it because we know we have to do what we have to do."

And he says more celebrities must speak up about climate breakdown adding: "It would ease the burden."
