A beautiful little village frozen in time that is like stepping back into another era has been dubbed a ‘mini Cotswolds’ despite being 182 miles away. Haworth is nestled within the picturesque Yorkshire countryside, once home to the famous Bronte sisters. The former family home has turned into a museum, making it a popular spot for book lovers.

Many of the village’s surrounding attractions bear their name, including the Brontë Parsonage Museum (where they used to live) and the Bronte Waterfall. Some of the streets are named after the Bronte sisters and their novels, including Charlotte Bronte Way, Jane Eyre Lane, and Anne Bronte Avenue. Visitors can walk through the streets that the family would have spent their time in, learn more about their lives at the Parsonage and see the places the sisters were inspired by.

No visit here would be complete without stopping by the Bronte Parsonage Museum where you can immerse yourself in the sister's life and was home to the Bronte family from 1820 to 1861. It is also the very spot where the sisters wrote some of their most famous novels such as Jane Eyre and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall.

The museum and shop are open Wednesday - Sunday and on Bank Holiday Mondays.

With its historic cobbled Main Street, iconic parsonage and rolling moors, this village still features many historical elements that have been left untouched. Main Street is particularly atmospheric to see at sunrise, here you will find plenty of independent shops to find a gift or treat for yourself or a loved one inside.

You can pick up everything from vintage clothing and jewellery, specialist books, heritage souvenirs, original art and traditional sweets.

Located high in the South Pennine hills in an area of West Yorkshire it is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and rolling hills.

You can also travel in style on a beautifully restored vintage steam train called the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. This five-mile-long heritage railway in the Worth Valley, West Yorkshire, England, runs from Keighley to Oxenhope.

At the heart of Haworth village, lies the charming Central Park. The park which opened in 1927 has a beautiful flower garden, a vibrant play area and bowls as well as well maintained paths offering a peaceful escape from the bustle of everyday life.
