Marks and Spencer may have the answer, as the retailer's Suede Fisherman Sandals are receiving high praise from shoppers. The sand coloured shoes have a comfy low heel, making them ideal to wear with casual daytime outfits, beachwear or evening occasions. 

The suede sandals cost £49.50 and come in sizes three to eight, however a couple of the sizes are currently sold out, highlighting their popularity. The shoes are designed in a wide fit and have a secure buckle fastening on the ankle strap, ensuring they stay in place. The unique fisherman style makes them the perfect sandal option for shoppers who prefer to have their toes and upper foot covered.

FatFace is selling similar Elodie Black Fisherman Sandals for £65.50 that are crafted from a durable leather. They come in sizes three to eight and feature a platform sole, thick decorative straps and a buckle closure.

Dr Martens has 90s-inspired Dunnet Flower Buttersoft Leather Sandals priced at £150. Available in sizes three to 13, these suede shoes have a foam footbed for enhanced comfort and adjustable buckle straps.

The M&S Suede Fisherman Sandals are part of the M&S Collection; easy-to-wear wardrobe staples that combine classic and contemporary styles. Several shoppers have reviewed the footwear to date, with them earning an overall score of 4.3 out of five.

One impressed customer wrote: "These are the most comfortable sandals/shoes I think I have ever owned. They are true to size and just perfect. Well made and the neutral colour goes with almost everything."

"Beautiful sandals," commented a second delighted buyer. "Love these. Super comfy with nice padding in the soles. The straps are suede so they are really soft and flexible. I'm usually a 5.5 but as they're a wide fit, a size five fits nicely."

Unfortunately one M&S shopper was left 'very disappointed', as they explained: "Big toes catch in the gap of the pattern. So weird. Also the insole is made from a cheap material that makes the bottom of the foot sweaty. Not ideal for summer. I recall reading the same complaints for last year's version. I was really hoping this year's sandal would be good."

However, someone else disagreed, as they said: "I have wide feet and some ankle swelling. These are both flattering and comfortable." Another added: "Love these sandals, exactly what I wanted. Lovely fit and colour."
