David Beckham celebrated his 50th birthday earlier this month – surrounded by a host of celebrities including Gordon Ramsay, Guy Ritchie, Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas. One famous face that was missing from the celebration, though, was Beckham’s son Brooklyn.

Although Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz had recently flown into the UK, neither of them were spotted at any of David’s 50th birthday celebrations in London, Bordeaux, and the Cotswolds, leaving his mother Victoria “in tears,” according to Hello! Magazine.

A source close to the family claimed that David and Victoria are keen to heal the rift: "David has reached out already and will fly out to see Brooklyn if necessary. They are going to put this fire out; David has said that he wants the dust to settle and for everyone to talk when emotions have settled down.”

Brooklyn has “hurt” David and Victoria, the source continued to claim, by “airing aired their dirty laundry,” but the former England star is determined to make peace with his 26-year-old son and is planning a family summit: “David will not let this continue for much longer. He wants to put everyone in a room together — they need to iron this out now or nothing is going to change.”

Victoria and Nicola reportedly first clashed over plans for her lavish £3m Palm Beach wedding to Brooklyn in April 2022.

There was some friction, apparently, because Nicola had selected a Valentino gown for her big day rather than a piece from Victoria’s own fashion collection.

Nicola later denied the rumours, calling them "hurtful", but fans were confused when the actress and Victoria neglected to post photos together after the ceremony.

"I was going to [wear Victoria Beckham] and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn't do it, so then I had to pick another dress," she explained to Variety at the time.

"She didn't say you can't wear it, I didn't say I didn't want to wear it. That's where it started, and then they ran with that."

Furthermore, fans have noticed via Nicola's social media posts that she has generally remained close to her own family, rather than spending much quality time with the Beckhams.

Nicola and Brooklyn spent several weeks with the Peltz family last summer, skipping a similar trip with David and Victoria, and then spent more time with the Peltzes in Florida.

Brooklyn himself has not been pictured with his own family since last Christmas, and, unusually, he has neglected to acknowledge either of his parents’ birthdays via Instagram.

Similarly, David and Victoria didn't publicly wish Brooklyn and Nicola a happy third wedding anniversary last month.

Brooklyn and Nicola’s no-show at the three events planned to celebrate David’s milestone birthday seems to have marked a new low point in relations between the couple and their in-laws.

Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for David, Victoria and Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham for comment, but has yet to recieve a reply.
