Those looking to fly away on holiday might feel uneasy leaving their home unattended for a long period of time, but as tech and security continue to merge, there are some gadgets that can keep an eye on homes for owners. Including the eufy C210 camera, which Amazon is now selling for £26.99, and it could be a great way to get peace of mind when away.

Those who aren't signed up as a Prime member will pay £29.99 for the device. It comes with 360° pan and tilt capabilities, ensuring a complete view of space without blind spots. There's also crystal-clear footage with 1080p resolution, ensuring every detail is seen.

It also detects and recognises human figures, then records their entire route, ensuring they're kept in sight. And for shoppers who hate paying fees, you don't pay a monthly fee to receive notifications or record videos. Users can insert a microSD card, up to 128 GB, for direct storage. 

There are alternatives shoppers can consider. The Ring video doorbell is currently priced at £49.99 on Amazon. Meanwhile, the Google Nest Video Doorbell retails for £179.99 on Argos if shoppers are willing to spend more.

Shoppers have also been gushing over the C210 camera. One shopper added: "Set-up through the app was really straightforward – I had it running in a few minutes. The image quality is crystal clear during the day, and the night vision is surprisingly good too, with plenty of detail. The pan/tilt movement covers a decent range, though it is a bit ‘robotic’ sounding when it moves – not super loud, but noticeable in a quiet room.

"Motion detection works well, but the on-device AI is pretty basic. If you connect it to a Eufy HomeBase, you get better features like facial recognition and smarter alerts, which make a real difference. Overall, it’s a solid little camera for the price, but it really shines when used as part of the wider Eufy system!"

Another shopper who called it 'solid' added: "Easy set up. Good picture quality. I like the idea of the remote control, it worked well for me. With night vision off, the image is good even through double glazing. Good value for money. Works on the Eufy security app along with 2 other cameras. A good addition to my home security."

One shopper did had some criticism about the device. They added: "Good quality camera, the geofencing mode doesn’t work really well sometimes doesn’t work as I leave home or takes too long to work, sometimes turns on out of nowhere when I am at home without the recording lights which sound very strange to me.

"It’s connected on the plug so no battery needed. Setup was easy follow the instructions on the  QR code. Also receive security notifications on the app with sound detection that is very high quality".
