Amanda Owen has shared a heartwarming Instagram post, dedicated to her children as she admitted what "reality" looks like for her and her family behind the scenes of Our Farm Next Door. She urged: "You just have to keep going," as she shared some of the challenges that they face together.
Sharing a number of snaps to Instagram showing the children wrapped up warm to tackle the British weather, some images showed them wearing hard hats while enjoying sandwiches, while others showed them playing on scaffolding and in fields. Just like Amanda, her children seemed to love the outdoors and were not afraid to get stuck in with helping out.
Captioning the pictures, the proud mum wrote: "Time for a shout out to this lot, the ones are that are definitely not behind the scenes. They will be oblivious to this post but any proclamation at just exactly how proud I am of them all will not even figure as they already know."
She continued: "They wave, smile and chat to unknowns, exude energy, positivity, raw honesty, give away time, eggs and bunches of rhubarb. Sometimes. They also argue, bicker, fight, swear and skive in no particular order. I do too. That is reality.
You’ve just got to keep going."
Fans praised the mum's honesty and commented with words of appreciation. One wrote: "You have a beautiful family to be proud of! They all muck in doing there bit! They all work so hard & are growing up so fast xxx".
Another added: "Fabulous they are living their best life and not a screen in sight." While a third shared: "A great bunch and who work hard like most farm children do. They deserve the time for a skive every now and then. They seem to be growing up wonderfully."
The Yorkshire Shepherdess is raising nine children alongside her ex-husband, Clive. Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Anna, Clemmy, and Nancy are being brought up on the family's 2,000-acre Ravenseat Farm in the Yorkshire Dales.
Speaking about raising her children on a farm, Amanda previously said: "Being here on the farm is the best school you could ever wish for because it gives you the space and room to find out what you love and what you hate. I'm not for one minute thinking that they're all going to be farmers, but they have got such huge opportunities to channel what they like."
